Reeves Farm Pittsboro Land Planner Jody Leidolf presents at the Chatham County Development Briefing
One of the largest mixed-use developments in the Triangle region is getting closer to reaching a major milestone.
The Reeves Farm development project, a 500-acre mixed-use community off U.S. 64 Business on the west side of Pittsboro, has submitted construction plans for the first 250 homes for the project, according to Jody Leidoff, land planner for the development. In total, Reeves Farm will include more than 1,500 homes.
The milestone reflects the rapid pace of development in Pittsboro and across Chatham County as the area continues to absorb growth tied to the broader Triangle region. Major mixed-use projects like Reeves Farm are part of a wave of large-scale developments reshaping the town, driven by population growth, new infrastructure investments and major employers bringing new opportunities.
Reeves Farm, located across from the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, has been in the works for years. The idea was first pitched in 2023 after Edward Holmes Jr., Carter Keller and Buddy Keller (Carter's father), who are active developers in region, purchased the land for $19.6 million. The project received rezoning approval later that year. More than 94 acres in the development was annexed into the Town of Pittsboro in 2025.
