The Building Blocks of Our History.
Founded in 1998 in Sanford, North Carolina, The Keller Group began with the development of the Oaks Apartments—a 300-unit community that capitalized on growing regional connectivity. Led by the father-and-son team of Buddy and Carter Keller, this project set the tone for a long-standing commitment to strategic development and high-quality construction.
Leveraging Buddy Keller’s background in nursing home operations, The Keller Group expanded into the senior living sector, developing several facilities across Siler City, Zebulon, Oxford, and Henderson. These early ventures laid the groundwork for the company’s legacy in specialized construction, blending practical experience with thoughtful design and operational insight.
Over the years, The Keller Group diversified into self-storage (via Triangle Storage, LLC), rebranded its construction arm as Carolina Commercial Contractors in 2010, and launched multiple divisions to support continued growth: Rampart Property Management (2016), Carolina Commercial Cost Segregation (2019), and Carolina Commercial Sitework (2020). Each move reinforced the Group’s ability to lead across the entire development lifecycle.
From its first apartment community to a diversified portfolio of companies, The Keller Group’s history is one of steady growth, enduring relationships, and a commitment to serving the communities they help build.

COMMUNITY IMPACT.
With deep roots in their community, the Keller family has invested in public service since its genesis.
From leading the development of the Raleigh Executive Jetport to serving on boards like the Lee County Airport Authority, the Sanford Growth Alliance, the Lee County Education Foundation, First Health of the Carolinas, and the Golden LEAF Foundation, their impact extends well beyond construction.
A true legacy of service, built over decades.
