Aviation, Education, Economic Development & More
The Keller family’s passion for service goes beyond development. It takes flight. As licensed pilots, both Buddy Keller and Carter Keller have translated their love of aviation into meaningful contributions to their community.
From leading the relocation and expansion of the Lee County Airport (now the Raleigh Executive Jetport) to ongoing leadership on the Lee County Airport Authority and the North Carolina Department of Transportation Aviation Board, their vision has helped generate millions of opportunities in local economic impact.
Their dedication extends across the region. Carter Keller serves on the executive board of the Sanford Growth Alliance. Susan Keller leads as Chairman of the Lee County Education Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for First Health of the Carolinas. Buddy Keller was appointed to the Golden LEAF Foundation Board by former Speaker of the North Carolina House, Tim Moore.
Together Buddy Keller, Carter Keller, and the entire Keller Group team embody a legacy of leadership, giving back to the communities they help build.
Live Oak Foundation
Additionally, as far as community service, Carter has also served on the executive board of the Sanford Growth Alliance since 2025, and Susan serves as the Chairman of the Lee County Education Foundation and on the First Health of the Carolinas Board of Directors. Buddy was appointed in 2023 by former Speaker of the NC House Tim Moore to the Golden Leaf Board of Directors. Their philanthropic efforts are extensive and primarily provided through the Live Oak Foundation
